넙치과의 광어를 말한다. 줘코우위 (左口鱼)는 좌구어, 입이 몸의 좌측에 달린 생선이란 뜻으로,사람들은 비목어(比目鱼), 좌접어(左蝶鱼)라고도 부른다.
